Beau Belle is the long strived for dream of Tienie and Estelle.
This beautiful property situated in the heart of Stellenbosch
Valley, was purchased in 2008 when they bought a portion of the
neighbouring Nagenoeg farm from the Visser Family.

The wine farm itself was officially founded in April 2009 and consisted of 24 hectares of Shiraz vineyards, a dam and a few basic structures. All the infrastructure and improvements on the property has been built by the Lindeque’s over the past 5 years; this includes a French Chateau and a beautiful Chapel surrounded by newly planted mature trees.

Beau Belle Philosophy

Our philosophy is to protect our environment and not to expose people, animals and plants to harmful chemicals that are used in conventional farming practices.
We use various techniques which work together to create a balanced, diversified and sustainable vineyard environment and ecosystem. No harmful chemicals are sprayed on the vines or soil and no fertilizers are used, only compost and guano products.

The Grapes

The Grapes

The Fynbos has a distinct influence on the flavours in our wines, whilst the cool sea breeze from the southwest helps to cool down the vineyards and extend the ripening of the berries. The grapes are handpicked from very specific vineyard rows and blocks to ensure the best quality. The yields of these blocks are below 8 ton/hectare. You will also find that the wine is made with the least human interference to reflect the true terrior and the chemical analysis shows how low the Sulphite content is.

Our vineyards are situated 8 kilometers from False Bay, 70 meters above sea level, and bordering on one of the few untouched Fynbos reserves in the Stellenbosch Golden Triangle. The vineyards produce approximately 200 tons of grapes annually. Our winemaker, Teddy Hall, assisted by Wilhelm van Rooyen, makes wine for Beau Belle at Vredenheim’s Cellar, which is leased from them.

The Winemakers’ approach is minimal interference in the making of the wine. They select only the best grapes  from specific vineyard blocks and rows for our range of wines, to ensure that that only the best wine ends up in the bottle! Our current production is 40,000 bottles of Shiraz wines per annum for 6 wines in our product range. We also produce a further 40,000 litres of quality bulk wine per year that we sell to other wineries. Contact us for more information and availability.
